FAQs

What services do you offer?

We do both servicing of audio equipment including replacing worn parts and replacing older capacitors along with general repair. We source the highest quality components available so you can be rest assured that your device will not go wrong in the future.

What parts do you use in your hifi repairs?

We aim to use original parts in all of our repairs sourced directly from the original manufacturer. If we are unable to do so, due to the age of the unit or just general lack of parts, we will source like for like parts or better. We will NEVER use lesser parts.

Whats included in a turntable service?

In our standard turntable service, we include new belts, oil, any capacitors on the main board that may need replacing and a full alignment so that when you receive your turntable back from us, its ready to go straight away.

What price do you charge for a repair/service?

Our diagnostic fee starts at £50 inc VAT for smaller items but can vary a small amount. This includes a full inspection, 24 hour soak test to find the exact cause of any issues there may be within the unit. Once this cause is found, we will send you a full report, breakdown of parts and labour and a rough time estimate. From here, you can decide whether or not you’d like to go ahead.

We charge a fixed fee of £60 per hour with a minimum of 1 hour labour to cover the engineers time.

How do I get my unit repaired?

You have the option to either drop off or send in your unit to us. We will have a look around it and diagnose it as soon as we can. We will then contact you by both phone and email with a repair estimate including both parts and labour costs.

How long will it take?

With things being how they are at the moment in the world, there is no guarantee on the length of time but we will aim to get every item inspected within a week and then source parts + costs over the next week.

So please don’t call for an update within the first 14 days as it probably means that we’re still investigating but we may give you a call back within those first two weeks with an update for you.
